What You'll Need:
1/2 cup oats
1 cup milk (or water)*
1 egg
1/2-1 peach
1/2 cup blueberries
1/2 teaspoon of sugar
dash of salt
Directions:
Pour dry oats in a bowl, add 1 cup of water. Microwave for 1.5 minutes.
Crack whole egg into the bowl. Stir well. Pop back in the microwave for 25 seconds.*
Add salt & sugar. Stir.
Add peaches & blueberries.
Enjoy, enjoy, enjoy.
*The milk & egg are the power strokes here. Eating oatmeal as is may be the reason you’re ravenous as soon as you step into the office, annoyed by Susan bragging about her boat weekend. Usually recipes only call for the whites of the egg (tossing the yolk). Adding the yolk to the oatmeal makes it so much creamier & fluffier. It does have an "eggier" taste which is why I added the sugar & salt. Egg yolks are filled with natural Vitamin D and wonderful nutrients. I say this, because many fear the yolk due to its fat and cholesterol content. Spoiler alert: we need fat and dietary cholesterol actually as no significant effect on your serum cholesterol (!!!!!)
